About the Workplace
At Angeredsgymnasiet, we are convinced that students who thrive and feel joy in their work also succeed better in their studies. Therefore, joy and enthusiasm are as natural elements as knowledge and development at our school. We offer university-preparatory programs, vocational programs, and introductory programs. Additionally, we have a dedicated teaching staff, robust development work, and excellent collaboration with the labor market through our project "Angeredsutmaningen".
The school is also home to the National Upper Secondary School for Students with Physical Disabilities (Riksgymnasiet), one of only four such schools in Sweden. The National Upper Secondary School is now seeking two employees for the academic year 2026/2027.
Job Responsibilities
You will teach English, History, or Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language at the compulsory school and upper secondary school levels at the National Upper Secondary School for Students with Physical Disabilities at Angeredsgymnasiet. You will also serve as a mentor for a group of students at the National Upper Secondary School for Students with Physical Disabilities.
Your teaching will have a clear focus on students' goal achievement, and you will collaborate closely with special needs pedagogues and student assistants to create an accessible learning environment based on students' needs. The unit has a joint plan for "Leadership and Stimulation" that you will work with together. Clarifying pedagogy is a shared approach within the unit.
The National Upper Secondary School for Students with Physical Disabilities consists of three units: school, habilitation, and student residence. The role as a pedagogue and mentor therefore also includes close collaboration with habilitation and the student residence. You will, among other things, teach students who use alternative communication (e.g., Bliss or eye-controlled computers) and conduct individual instruction for students in rehabilitation. You will be part of the National Upper Secondary School's work team and will work weekly on classroom-related development work together with the team.

Furthermore, excellent knowledge of web-based pedagogical tools and the ability to adapt teaching to individual needs are required.
Essential personal qualities include flexibility, creativity, initiative, and excellent teamwork skills. You have the ability to inspire, motivate, and spread positive energy in your work, as well as to focus on solutions rather than problems. You possess excellent communicative and social competence and are driven, goal-oriented, and flexible as a person.
Do not wait to apply, as we will be interviewing candidates on a rolling basis.
